I recently went on a tour of Europe. There are actually thousands of castles throughout Europe. Neuschwanstein Castle was one of our stops and it was AMAZING! Neuschwanstein Castle was built by King Ludwig II. Neuschwanstein is quite famous because of the castle's incredible mountain surroundings and architecture.

Neuschwanstein was built in the 19th century, so it's hardly medieval...awesome pic though
